A native of Braintree, MA, Dr. Hanson is thrilled to be caring for patients of all ages here at 1010 Dental on Elm and helping smiles thrive. Dr. Hanson received her Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University in 1992. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2000. She received the Pierre Fauchard Dental Student Leadership Scholarship for her commitment to her class by serving as both their representative to the American Student Dental Association and a Delegate in the Connecticut State Dental Association.
Following graduation, Dr. Hanson completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington, DC. Afterwards, she returned to Massachusetts, where she has been in private practice for over 18 years.
Today, Dr. Hanson believes in the importance of patient education and strives to partner with hers for the best possible treatment outcomes. She is a current member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Metropolitan District Dental Society. She is also a member of the Charles River Dental Society and served as its president from 2012-2013.
Dr. Hanson currently lives in Shrewsbury, MA with her husband Eram and their two children Kamran and Aidan. When she isn’t busy caring for teeth, she enjoys traveling with her family, playing tennis, gardening, and watching her boys play sports.
